No one could blame you for missing Biden’s televised national address last night. After just a few minutes, Americans everywhere wished they could get those seconds back.
Addressing the recent mass shootings that have hit the nation, Biden made a call to reinstate the 1994 assault weapons ban.

Twitter ignited as Joe made threat after threat against the nation’s 2nd Amendment rights including taking away the ability to acquire a weapon until three years after being legally declared an adult.

For most Americans watching, Biden’s statements rang hollow and lacked any teeth. This was the case for both people on the right and the left. Blue-haired liberals lacked their typical energy in coming out to support Joe’s call to action. In fact, Twitter was pretty silent on the Left. Here’s one of the few I could find:

Wow, so original and creative. So why are Joe’s statements lacking any resonance or impact? The first reason is because not even Joe Biden believes what he is saying. He’s gone on the record multiple times saying that gun laws don’t work.

It’s clear he’s being put up to this. The second reason Biden lacks any credibility in what he spoke on is because of hypocrisy.
It’s because Joe Biden and his family live under a different set of rules than the rest of America and ALL of America knows it. You just can’t support someone who you know doesn’t play by the same rules you do no matter how blue your hair may be.
I am of course speaking about Hunter Biden, who is in fact guilty of gun crimes but is yet to be prosecuted by anyone.
Shortly after the address, many were quick to point this out.
Hunter Biden is an admitted drug addict, which precludes one from buying a gun. Yet he was able to get a gun. Why? Because he lied about his drug use on his application. Does the President agree he should be prosecuted based on his address to the nation this evening?

As the article cited in the Tweet states, Hunter Biden effortlessly skirted by every gun law put in place to prevent him, an alleged drug addicted walking DUI from getting a firearm. Here’s a snippet from the Guardian explaining how.
Politico said it had obtained copies of records relating to Hunter Biden’s purchase of the gun on 12 October 2018. It said he answered “no” to a question about unlawful use or addiction to “marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance”.
“Five years earlier,” the website said, “he had been discharged from the US navy reserve after testing positive for cocaine, and he and family members have spoken about his history of drug use.
The issue that Americans have is that Hunter was caught dumping his firearm that was illegally obtained and yet faced ZERO consequences. To make matters worse, reports show that the Secret Service was dispatched to help clean up the mess and make sure Hunter got off without any issue. They even went so far as to try and destroy the paper trail linking Hunter to the gun purchase.
The Secret Service reportedly approached the store where the gun was purchased, seeking to obtain all records of the transaction. The owner reportedly declined
Why would Biden expect to have any moral authority to lecture anyone about gun control? The audacity indeed.
