Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy has developed quite a reputation for holding the Biden administration accountable with his pointed questions about policy issues that few other Washington reporters seem willing to ask.
That was on display again Thursday as Doocy responded to a hot mic incident involving President Joe Biden during a Florida visit to survey damage in the wake of Hurricane Ian. At one point after Biden had made remarks during a press conference, he turned to speak to Fort Myers Mayor Ray Murphy using frank language, perhaps unaware that his microphone was still hot.
“Keep the faith,” the president said. “And by the way, you’re raised the same way I was. No one f***s with a Biden.” That remark led to a chuckle from Murphy who then responded. “Yeah, you’re g*****n right!” Biden then added: “You can’t argue with your brothers outside the house.”

That remark led Doocy to respond: “The president says no one F’s with a Biden. But it appears OPEC+ has done just that, the group of oil-producing nations agreeing to cut oil production by 2 million barrels per day.”
Newsweek noted after OPEC+’s decision that economically, things are likely to get worse in the U.S.: The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) decided to cut oil production by 2 million barrels a day Wednesday, and the effects are already being felt in the U.S. Gas prices are starting to rise again, leading to increased anxiety from Americans who have struggled with the effects of inflation this year. In addition to gas prices, grocery store costs continue to rise and the Federal Reserve recently hiked interest rates again. Much of the nation doesn’t expect inflation to improve anytime soon, and the OPEC decision could lead to a worsening American economy.
“There’s no question this will contribute to the inflation we’ve been experiencing,” University of Notre Dame finance professor Jeffrey Bergstrand told the outlet.
Newsweek added: “Bergstrand said a large factor to the U.S. inflation over the last year has been influenced by oil prices and consequently, gasoline prices. He said the increasing gas prices could not only exacerbate inflation but also increase the likelihood of a recession as the Federal Reserve needs to increase interest rates to curtail inflation.”
Biden’s gaffes continue to plague his presidency, especially after an incident last week that stunned members of Congress. And former Trump adviser Stephen Miller took to the airwaves to sound the alarm over it, warning that Biden’s cognitive decline is a danger to the country and the world, saying that he really should not be carrying on as leader of the free world.
Miller’s remarks to Newsmax TV on Friday come after Biden appeared to be looking for the late Republican Indiana Rep. Jackie Walorski, who died in a motor vehicle accident in August, at an event in Washington on Wednesday.
“And I want to thank all of you here, including bipartisan elected officials like Representative McGovern, Senator Braun, Senator Booker, Representative — Jackie, are you here? Where’s Jackie? I didn’t think she was — she wasn’t going to be here — to help make this a reality. And thanks to Senator Stabenow, Representative DeLauro for their leadership,” he said.

The incident was just the latest in a string of gaffes that appear to indicate accelerating deterioration of the 79-year-old president’s mental capacity, and it drew a pointed response from Miller, who referenced the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine in saying that Biden could quite literally stumble into a nuclear conflict.
“Why aren’t people talking about using utilizing the 25th Amendment to get this guy out?” Newsmax host Eric Bolling asked Miller.
“Every cabinet secretary needs to be asked whether or not they’re going to invoke the 25th Amendment,” Miller said.
“President Biden is not cognitively present. He does not have the mental capacity to serve as the President of the United States of America. If he was in a nursing home, he would be in the assisted living section, not the area where people are in a retirement community, who are living their own lives and who are making their own decisions,” he continued.
